The United States Navy is the world’s most powerful navy. It
employs 11 aircraft carriers, nearly 300 combat vessels, over
4,000 aircraft, 336,000+ active duty personnel and 101,000+
reservists. It was founded as the Continental Navy in 1775
and is celebrating 250 years in 2025.
