40' Standard Box Car Double Plug Door without Roofwalk

This 40’ standard box car with plug door and no roofwalk is blue with white lettering and runs on Bettendorf trucks. Built in October 1953 for the Great Northern Railway, it was serviced in the late 1960s and repainted into the Sky Blue paint scheme. Great Northern was a Class 1 railroad founded in 1881 and eventually was merged with Northern Pacific and others to form Burlington Northern Railroad in 1970.
