39’ single dome tank cars are black with white lettering and run
on Bettendorf trucks. They were built in the 1940s and were marked
with the SP “diamond-S” insignia, indicating sugar loading only.
Serviced in 1964, they continued in revenue service for another
decade or so before being relegated to MOW service. |
