boxcar was built in 1956 by Pullman Standard. With roots going
back to 1833, the Central of Georgia absorbed numerous railroads
in the late 1800s and early 1900s, and by 1956 operated nearly
2,700 miles of track. Later becoming a Southern Railway subsidiary,
its heritage has since been rolled into Norfolk Southern. |
