Great Northern
Number 38076 is a 40 double-sheathed wood box car with 1-1/2 Doors, and vertical brake wheel. It was built in October 1923 by the American Car and Foundry in Detroit, Michigan, and painted box car red with white lettering. The 72 forward-facing Rocky in white on black background is typical of the roads herald configuration from 1922 to 1935. Rocky was later seen in side-facing silhouette.
