| This 50’
steel side, 14 panel fixed end gondola is painted blue with yellow
log and white lettering. It was built in February 1967 by Hawker-Siddeley
and runs on Barber Roller Bearing trucks. The large “Triple Lightning”
herald is indicative of the businesses in which the Ontario Northland
is engaged: Railroad and telecommunications, a natural outgrowth
of the telegraph lines that were strung along the railroad’s right-of-way,
carrying CBC radio and video into the far North. |
