This 33’ twin bay hopper with offset sides and coal load is painted black with white herald and lettering. It was built in April
1937 by National Steel Car Corp., journals repacked in July 1964, and runs on Bettendorf trucks. This hopper, from a fleet
of 900, was delivered with white “Canadian Pacific” plain block letters. The “Canadian Pacific” plain block road name was
supplanted by this script paint scheme in 1959. Cars were in service through the 1970s, spending many of its years working
the coal fields of Alberta, British Columbia and Nova Scotia.
