Shuman recorded the electric operations of the Pennsylvania
Railroad west of Paoli, PA during the late 1950's and early
60's, a period when relatively little changed since the exciting
era of electric expansion in the late 1930's. Jim tok his color
film and expertise gained in previous decades of photographic
work to capture scenes along the Main Line, Atglen & Susquehanna,
and Columbia & Port Deposit Lines, often inaccessible without
long hikes. Jim Shuman's photography is undoubtedly among the
best ever accomplished on the west end of the PR electrification. 8-1/2" x 11", 128 Pages.
