Prototype Information —

The Portram was introduced in 2006 with the launch of the Toyama Port Line by Toyama Light Rail. In 2020, the Toyama Chiho Railway took over operations as part of a project to connect the northern and southern tram lines at Toyama Station. The Centram debuted in 2009 as part of Toyama’s plan to create a circular city tram line. Owned by Toyama City and operated by Toyama Chiho Railway, it plays a key role in the city’s sustainable transit strategy. Since through-service began between the Port Line and the City tram line, both the Portram and Centram operate across the full urban network—symbols of Toyama’s transit-focused urban revitalization. Portram returns with upgraded power units and two new colors (Orange and Yellow-Green). Centram also returns, with a silver version now available. Additionally, a starter set will launch simultaneously, making it easy to begin your Unitram layout.

Model Features —

Design without advertisements or wrapping as seen after the completion of the north-south connection on March 21, 2020 Two new accent colours: Orange, Yellow-Green (Portram, not included in previous releases). Body and window markings from after the March 2020 merger of Toyama Chiho Railway. Destination signs printed on each vehicle vary by train set. Other: Lights: head-/taillights are lit (two colors: white/warm white, 4 in total), fog lamps are non-illuminated, interior lighting is standard equipment. UNITRAM Starter Set Toyama Chihou Railroad 0600 Type: Includes Portram 0601 (Red), specially designed for this starter set. Track Plates: 124mm straight × 2, R180 curved intersection × 4 Accessory Kit: 3 tram stop types, 1 sticker sheet for stops, 4 screws, 2 central dividers, 2 center poles (1 straight, 4 curved), 2 road fences, 2 traffic signals, 1 street light.
