Prototype
Information:
The Tokyu 5080 Series was introduced in 2003 for service on the Meguro
Line, designed to support one-man operation and through-service with
the Tokyo Metro Namboku Line, Toei Mita Line, and Saitama Railway. Originally
formed as 6-car sets, each was extended to 8 cars in
2022. From March 2023, the trains began mutual through-operation with
the Sotetsu Line via the newly opened Tokyu Shin-Yokohama Line, expanding
their reach across multiple urban rail networks.
This model faithfully reproduces key features of the real train, including
the distinctive blue line-color band and the unique pair of L- shaped
antennas mounted only on the Shin-Yokohama-end lead car, reflecting
modern antenna consolidation.
This highly realistic N-scale set is ideal for recreating contemporary
Japanese commuter operations, offering smooth integration into urban
layouts and interline scenarios with other modern rolling stock.
