The 2100 Series of Izukyu Railway was designed and manufactured as a proposal for “railway vehicles for the 21st century.” Among the fleet, the R-3 formation features a striking red livery inspired by the kinmedai (splendid alfonsino), a specialty fish representing the Izu region. Operated as the “Kinmedai Train,” this 7-car set showcases regional promotional decorations in every car, highlighting local products along the line.
