Information:
The 787 Series 36
Plus 3 is JR Kyushus 12th D&S (Design & Story) train,
created by transforming one of the original 787 train
sets. . Launched in October 2020, this premium express circles all seven
Kyushu prefectures over five days, offering a unique
journey every day. Fully redesigned inside and out, the train features
a glossy black exterior with gold accents and a warm,
wood-themed interior with traditional touches like shoji-style windows.
All cars are upgraded to Green Car (first-class),
delivering a refined, comfortable ride. The buffet car also makes a
return for the first time in 17 years on a 787 train, offering
drinks, light snacks, souvenirs, and exclusive merchandise.
?Since its debut in October 2020, the beloved sightseeing train 36 Plus
3 has traveled across Kyushu, meeting all kinds of
trains along the way. Complete your Kyushu railway collection with upcoming
models like the <10-2047/2048 Series 813-
2200> (July 2025) and <10-1952 Series 885 Around the Kyushu>
(August 2025).
