The 731 Series (EMU) and KiHa 201 Series (DMU), both introduced
in 1997, represent a unique operation in Japan where electric and diesel
trains run in cooperative coupled service. Combining two different traction
systems in a single formation, this set offers a distinctive and highly
unusual operating style rarely seen worldwide.
With updated specifications and smooth running performance, these sets
are ideal for
recreating realistic mixed operations alongside limited express and
freight trains in the Sapporo area.
