Prototype Information:
The 227 Series 500 Type began service in July 2023 as the next-generation
successor to older JNR-era trains in the Okayama area. Its design concept,
Hoon no Irodori (Colors of Abundance and Harmony), reflects the regions
rich natural beauty and calm climate. The signature pink accent symbolizes
iconic local bloomsOkayama peaches, Fukuyama roses, and Onomichi
cherry blossomscreating a soft yet vibrant image of the regions
charm.
The 227-500 Urara operates not only on the Sanyo Main Line
(between Mihara and Himeji), but also on the Seto-Ohashi
Line, Uno Port Line, and Hakubi Line, making it a versatile and wide-ranging
presence.
This all-in-one N gauge starter set includes the 227 Series 500 Urara
train along with everything needed to begin running right out of the
box: track (using KATOs Unitrack system) and a power pack for
train control. Its the perfect introduction to model railroading,
with plenty of potential for growthexpand with additional 227
Series cars for a longer consist or add more track to enjoy multi-train
operation with other trains from the region!
