Prototype
Information:
The EF15 was Japans standard postwar
freight electric locomotive, with 202 units built between 1947 and 1958.
Its boxy design recall 1950s European electrics like the DB Class E10
and remains a favorite among fans of classic rail. Active until 1987,
it's ideal for recreating authentic JNR freight scenes.
This reissue features a smooth-running slotless motor, updated product
number, and packaging, while retaining the classic detailing collectors
love.
To match the EF15, were also releasing a 6-car freight train set,
inspired by the colorful, mixed consists of the era. This ready-to-run
set adds variety and realism to any layout and pairs well with steam,
diesel, or electric motive power.
Compatible with locomotives like EF15, EF65-0, ED71, EF80, EF81 (standard),
D51, C11, C12, C56, DE10, DD51 (orange), DD54, and DF50.
