| This 50’ standard box car with plug
door and no roofwalk is painted white with a bright red LV flag
logo and black lettering. LV 7051 is part of a very small group
of cars in series 7050-7053 that remained on the roster for only
6 years. As American commerce became increasingly image conscious,
LV enhanced it’s cars with brighter colors. The white cars followed
the introduction of the “Snowbird” ALCO C-628’s in 1965. This car
runs on black Barber® roller bearing trucks. |
