| This
caboose with one window cupola is painted Indian Red and is decorated
with the post 1943 “Action Rio Grande” Herald and white lettering.
Built in 1900 and in use into the 60s, there were 6 cars numbered
from 0584 to 0589 and all had one window in the side of the cupola.
About 1943, three of them had the cupola rebuilt to two side cupola
windows, leaving only three RD#s with the single window, #0585,
#0586 & #0588. |
