| This 100
ton 3-bay hopper with rib sides is painted black with white lettering
and white herald. 479437 hauls a coal load on black Barber®
roller bearing trucks. It was built in March 1967 by Samuel Rea
Shops as a PRR hopper, then repainted in September 1968 and put
into service for Penn Central as a Class H43 hopper. It was given
the larger PC logo with company name beneath, applied between
1968 and 1970. |
