Joel and I took a drive to downtown Denver and through the yards, we ran across a couple of interesting pieces of equipment.


Sitting in the BNSF engine tracks was a Santa Fe #6960 SDF40-2. More info on this engine can be found at: http://atsf.railfan.net/cowls/sdp40f.html

Union Pacific #5653 Dash 8-40B

Sitting next to North Yard was a train containing Santa Fe #4256 B23-7.

Rio Grande #5401 SD40T-2 was sitting in North Yard, it looks like it was being placed on the lead of a train heading out.

Rio Grande #5361 SD40T-2 was second. Sorry for the poor shot but I didn't feel like getting chased by the railroad cops today.

An old Northern Pacific tanker was sitting in string of MOW equipment next to the BNSF engine tracks.

Another piece of MOW equipment, an old 2 Bay Covered hopper with the roof cut off is used to haul ballast/gravel.
