The Idaho is an old 12-4 Sleeper that has been rebuilt into a track inspection car in 1980 (the rear end was rebuilt in 1992). The UP officials use this to inspect trackage routes, and do so in quite a bit of comfort.

This is a veiw out the back. There is seating for about twenty people. A roll-up type door can protect the glass. Built into the ceiling in front of the glass is a white projector screen that can be used for presentations. The seating is built theater style with the back seats about 18" higher than the front.

The Idaho also has a fairly good sized conference table and a galley/kitchen area.
