We just received our first snow of the winter here on the front range of Colorado, so it seemed like a good excuse to go train watching. -Scott Phillips

This was shot at 10am this morning, it was extremely overcast. I had pulled into the Rocky Siding to see if anything was sitting here. I noticed the westbound signal at the east end was red, so I waited a while. This guy came from the north and crossed the tracks right in front of me. He then proceeded to wander along the tracks heading to the west end of the siding. A friend of his had passed by a few minutes earlier.
Amtrak #5 was running a little late today. It should have left Denver by 9:30, but it was after 10 before it finally let DUT. Here it is crossing the bridge over Indiana/Colorado 72 at the west end of Leyden siding. Denver is barely visible through the snow mist today.
Standing at the same location, looking towards Golden. Its obvious what is meant by elephant style.
I moved west to the Blue Mountain grade crossing, the visibility was starting to get bad. Amtrak #5 is just approaching the road.
