The
EMD Road Switcher GP-7's contained a 1,500 horsepower 16 cylinder 567B engine.
Over 2,600 were built from 1949 to 1953 for the US, Canadian and Mexico markets.
A total of 5 were produced as cabless B units.

installed AccuMate® magnetic knuckle couplers, rapido's are included in the
box (under the plastic liner)
Micro-Trains®
conversion:
The
engine is factory equipped with magnetic couplers, but if you still want to convert
to Micro-Trains then use the MTL-1015
Packaging:
Each
engine is packed in a clear jewel case with a plastic liner. Parts list sheet
and rapidos are located under the liner.

Performance:
This
is a re-run of an earlier Atlas engine. The unit performs very smoothly. While
it will creep along, the slow speed performance could be some better.
Sound/Noise
level:
Somewhat
louder than newer Atlas or Kato engines, but considering the design age of the
mechanism it is very acceptable.
