Used as a group or
by themselves, these buildings say railroad in any layout, module or diorama scene.
They're typical of the designs used by American railroads large and small from
the 1880s to the 1970s so they fit any location and era. Plus, the complete sets
come in your choice of three realistic color schemes, each featuring light colored
walls and dark trim. Easy to add to any layout, they can be used as-is, or quickly
and easily weathered to blend with the surrounding scenery. Each set is complete
with an Interlocking Tower, Speeder Shed with Unpowered Speeder Replica and Crossing
Shanty with Two Positionable Crossing Gates.
While most people were
familiar with their depot, just a few feet down the track was the railroads real
money-makerthe Freight House. Its trackside loading platform and truck-height,
streetside-loading doors allowed the easy transfer of cargo and Railway Express
Agency parcels between box cars or reefers and local delivery trucks.
Modeling an authentic freight station scene is a snap when you add the Golden
Valley Freight House to your layout. This fully assembled structure features detailed
"wooden" siding, a loading dock and station name signs matching those
included with the Golden Valley Depot. Its color scheme matches those of the Golden
