This
package contains four cargo doors that are a scale 8' wide x 8'
high and are the same as those in our 1003 Santa Fe Station Kit.
They are normally located on the rear or side of buildings. These
doors represent wooden doors that were used to allow access to
loading and unloading areas. They would normally exit onto a loading
dock where trailers or rail cars could be loaded. They sometimes
were used strictly as truck bays whose trailers were backed up
to the door.
The doors
were usually painted a contrasting color to help make a building
more attractive and to prevent weather damage to the wood. For
instance a white colored building might have its doors painted
a dark blue color.
