This 89' tri-level closed auto track is painted CP Action Red with white "CP RAIL" letters on Action Red placard and runs on black Barber® roller bearing trucks. Rebuilt in February 1994, this tri-level auto rack includes 4th Generation Thrall doors. It carries the CP Rai l"Action Red" paint scheme for auto racks. The first auto racks had exposed sides that led to vehicle damage from vandalism and weather. In the early 1970’s the railroads started to enclose the auto racks with steel mesh. Auto racks are one of the most commonly seen cars on the railroads today.
