This 50’ flat car with fishbelly side and side mount brake wheel carries a tank load. It’s painted brown with a white Conrail ‘can opener’logo and white lettering. It was built in August 1959 and runs on Barber Roller Bearing trucks. Conrail acquired these flat cars when they assimilated struggling roads such as Penn Central Transporation Company and Lackawana Railway in 1976. They were repainted into Conrail colors in 1977 and served many years of hard service under the Conrail name.
