The code refers to the actual height of the rail: Code 70 = 0.070" Tall or about 11" N Scale height Code 55 = 0.055" Tall or about 9" N Scale height Code 40 = 0.040" Tall or about 6" N Scale height Code 55 FFlex is also available with Concrete ties to represent modern Heavy Duty/High Speed tracakge. Flex Track can also be purchased with the rail pre-weathered. This rail is chemically treated to tarnish and can be wiped off easily to keep the conductive surface clean. Turnout Parts Kits Micro Engineering has produced a Turnout Kit with a cast Frog, Point rail assembly and two Gaurd Rails. These components are the most time consuming and difficult to fabricate when handlaying your own track. The Frog casting is made at a 6 to 1 diverging angle (#6). Available in Code 55 and Code 70.
