EMD SD40T-2 & SD45T-2 "Tunnel Motors"

06/09/04 - The long awaited Denver & Rio Grande Tunnel Motors have started to arrive finally. The previous releases of the SD40T-2 definitely had some production problems. In the opinion of N Scale Supply we feel that Intermountain has corrected most of the production issues. They have corrected all of the major performance issues. This is now a fine looking and running model. Yes, it can still be nitpicked, but this model is far superior to their previous offering.

Prime Mover: 16 cylinder 645E3 developing 3000 Horsepower
Weight: Between 388,000 and 410,000 pounds

Weight: Between 386,000 and 391,000 pounds

Model Information
Unit is supposed to be based on pieces of the Atlas SD50/60 mechanism Engines will be DCC ready. Grills will be etched brass.
