GTW serves as a vital link for parent Canadian National between Port Huron, Michigan and Chicago while also serving the auto industry in Detroit, Pontiac, Durand and Lansing. In 1953, GTW dropped the maple leaf from their logo and went to the tilted green square. In 1961, the CN controlled roads went to the "noodle" logos still inuse today.
The cars feature 6' opening doors (pat pend), diagonal panel roofs, 10 panel riveted sides, tabbled sills and 4-3-1 Improved Dreadnaught ends. the Apex roofwalk, stirrups, and Ajax brakewheel are all etched metal. |
