Nearly ALL modern freight cars (and many older ones) have either one of these two styles of Coupler Platforms to assist crews when they have to get between two cars.

Included in this set are 10 each of the Apex and Morton style platforms. This is a quick part that really adds a great deal of detail to a model in a very short amount of time.

To Mount:

Cut the platform out of the frame or gently rock it to remove it from the etched metal frame.

Note the direct center, lower part of the end of your freight car. (Many freight cars come with a very crude plastic strip that is supposed to represent the platform. Simple remove that with a sharp blade and note the direct center.

Drill a #80 hole in the position found above. (A #80 hole is .0135")

Dip the end of the platform mount in CA and place in hole.
