Although this material looks like any other wet / dry abrasive, it is unique. This product uses crystal shaped abrasives embedded in a resilient layer which allows them to retract slightly. The abrasives will turn to present the cutting surface to the material, thus giving an even cut with a regular "scratch" pattern.
Use MICROMESH in straight line, not in the more usual circular pattern. Regularly clean off any residue from the sanded surface, using a soft cotton cloth. Start with a rougher grade (lower numbered) and work up to the highest grade desired. When changing from one grade to another, work at right angles to the previous grade, use a lighter pressure as you near the end of each step. For painted surfaces start with a lighter grade.
MICROMESH should preferably be used wet and will last longer when supported by a sanding stick or rubber block.
